Here are some suggestions for producing a better looking canvas wrap.
Start with a great photo.
Well doesn't sound like much of a tip. What we mean is use a photo that isn't too dark or too washed out. Many camera's produce a yellow or reddish cast to the photo's they produce. Color correction will improve the photo, sometimes dramatically, but it's always best to start with a photo that is color balanced to begin with.
Add a photo inset.
Know what's better than one photo? You guessed it, two photo's. Consider adding a second smaller photo, called an inset, into your canvas wrap.
Use a gradient
Like the subject, but not the background? Consider removing it in favor of a transitional colored background, called a gradient. Gradient's can turn an ordinary photo into a real work of art. Try it.
Add a quotation or personal note
A personal message or inspirational quotation can really take your canvas wrap to the next level. The internet is full of sites that provide practically every quotation ever spoken. Consider adding a personal message and make your canvas wrap a treasured gift.
